Upon activation, users receive push notifications and audible alerts, such as an owl hoot, in case of public safety concerns like fires, gunmen, or theft in the monitored area.

<li>Download the free app and designate your primary watch area, choosing from locations like home, school, work, or a relative's residence.</li>
<li>Utilize the "Watch This Area" or "Near Me" functions to monitor your current vicinity and switch between areas conveniently.</li>
</ul>
Subscribers to BlockWatch's premium service can expand their monitoring to up to four additional regions.

<li>Users have the ability to issue alerts by selecting from a range of predefined options. If anything suspicious is spotted, initiating an alert notifies other users in the vicinity with both a notification and audible signal.</li>
<li>The app operates discreetly to avoid unnecessary distractions. A lack of alerts signifies no immediate risks, sparing users from unwarranted interruptions unless there is pertinent information to share.</li>

Similar to Waze for traffic updates, BlockWatch's alerts are verified by its users, ensuring accurate and reliable information dissemination. To activate the app effectively in various settings like shopping centers, events, schools, or religious institutions, remember to press "Watch This Area".
