Upon activation, users receive push notifications and audible alerts, such as an owl hoot, in case of public safety concerns like fires, gunmen, or theft in the monitored area.

<li>Download the free app and designate your primary watch area, choosing from locations like home, school, work, or a relative's residence.</li>
<li>Utilize the "Watch This Area" or "Near Me" functions to monitor your current vicinity and switch between areas conveniently.</li>
</ul>
Subscribers to BlockWatch's premium service can expand their monitoring to up to four additional regions.

<li>Users have the ability to issue alerts by selecting from a range of predefined options. If anything suspicious is spotted, initiating an alert notifies other users in the vicinity with both a notification and audible signal.</li>
<li>The app operates discreetly to avoid unnecessary distractions. A lack of alerts signifies no immediate risks, sparing users from unwarranted interruptions unless there is pertinent information to share.</li>
